Biography / Riwayat Hidup :
Raphael Ho has more than 20 years’ experience in international management in the telecommunications and data center industry, with strong specialties in IP/MPLS and subsea networking, network engineering and network management systems.
As Head of Interconnect Engineering for Digital Edge DC, a trusted and forward-looking data center platform company, Mr. Ho is responsible for the development of the company’s network services across the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Ho is also a board member of APNOG – the non-profit organization behind the delivery of the annual APRICOT summit, and a regular speaker at Network Operator Groups and Peering Forums, offering insights on various topics including Digital Transformation, Data Network Peering and subsea cable systems.
Previously Mr Ho served as a committee member of the Telecommunications Regulatory Affairs Advisory that counsels the HKSAR Government on the regulation of the telecommunications industry. He was also formerly the chair of the Internet eXchange (IX) Special Interest Group (SIG) at the Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), where he facilitated a forum for sharing information about the status and activities of IX points in the Asia Pacific region to the peering community.
Prior to Digital Edge DC, Mr Ho held a number of senior global and regional roles across Hong Kong, Singapore, the US and UK; including as Head of Global Network Design for Equinix, Head of Cloud and Interconnection Engineering & Operations for Equinix Asia Pacific, and various engineering/operations management positions at Asia Netcom, Pihana Pacific, Level 3 Communications and Global One.
Mr. Ho holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computing from Imperial College, London and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg/The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
